Asad has almost 30 years experience as an equities and capital markets expert with C-level executive positions at Macquarie Bank, ITG Securities, and Cantor Fitzgerald. Asad was a principal partner in entrepreneurial ventures in Malaysia (solar and renewable energy) and Hollywood (media and entertainment), and has extensive networks spanning HK/China, Malaysia/SE Asia, India/S. Asia, Germany/Europe, and California/N. America.
Asad is the CEO of Deutsche Malayan Ventures which provides bespoke cross-border advisory services for investment and execution of high-value projects in South and South East Asia, Co-General Partner of Lion Ventures Fund, and a Director of Hatcher Malaysia Sdn Bhd
SURAJ ARORA

Suraj is Executive Director of KL Tech City and and COO of Hatcher Malaysia, the SE Asia arm of the world’s largest AI-driven automated start-up venture fund; and a Managing Partner in Village Groupe’s portfolio of entertainment-themed developments in India.
He is an accomplished banker with 25 years of corporate experience , and with functional expertise across Mergers & Acquisitions, Fund Raising, Mentoring New Ventures, Start-up investments, Corporate & Investment Banking, Remittance and Digital Banking. Suraj was the Country Head for ICICI Bank in Malaysia, serving the Bank for 17 years.
Suraj’s diversified industry knowledge spans across Automobiles, Power, Retail, Media, Fintech, F&B, Food Products and Renewable Energy sector. He has extensive networks in the South East Asian markets of Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines and especially his home market of India.
Suraj holds the position of Secretary of Consortium of Indian Industries in Malaysia (a body of Indian Industries in Malaysia) and has successfully organised ASEAN-India bilateral events. He is also an avid start-up investor with investments across media and technology platforms.
Suraj has an MBA degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh and is a Mechanical Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi, India.
